Lake Plaza has easy access to major routes 17, 223, 13, and 14. New York State Route 17, also known in the area as the Southern Tier Expressway (Interstate 86), is an east-to-west highway that according to the New York State Department of Transportation carries an average of nearly 30,000 vehicles per day.

Horseheads takes a significant role in Chemung County’s active economy, especially within the industrial sector.
