Allentown ArtsFest is back!In its sophomore year, ArtsFest has greatly expanded.
ArtsFest 2015 features over 300 artists, vendors, musicians, and performers, covering a diverse range of artistic mediums. All admission and entertainment is FREE for all ages.
MUSIC
This year features 3 stages of entertainment: The Main Stage will showcase larger bands and performances; the Tape Swap Radio stage will host experimental, avant-garde and smaller 2-piece and solo acts in a more intimate setting; & the newly added Social Medium stage will host stand-up comedians, spoken word, improv, underground theater and film screenings.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographer Matthew Blum will be doing wet & dry plate photography portraits and tintypes in a pop-up photo studio & darkroom. These images will be displayed in an exhibit at the Alternative Gallery on November 19th titled ‘Glass Portraits,’ as part of the InVision Photo Festival.
STREET ART
The Street art section this year will once again feature breakdancing, DJs, & graffiti artists. Large panels will be setup throughout the ‘Graffiti Jam’ area and then painted by some of the most celebrated graffiti artists on the east coast, including; Mek One, Ras, Meres, Gage, Meano, Deco & more. The panels will be on display for the duration of the festival and then installed in various locations throughout the Lehigh Valley.
BREWHALLA
Shangy’s will be onsite with their refrigerated truck, hosting local breweries; Sly Fox, Hijinx, The Other Farm, Saucony Creek, Funk Brewing & newcomer Soul Brewing. Over 20 different beers will be on tap and representatives from each brewery will be present to talk about their process. Stonekeep Meadery will also be onsite, serving mead and a variety of wines in the ‘Brewhalla’ section.
FOR THE KIDS
The ‘Alternative Clubhouse’ section for kids will feature unique art making activities, demonstrations, ‘coloring page’ murals, keepsake box decorating, upcycled crafts, magic shows, face painting, balloon art and more!
LV GIRLS ROCK
Local non-profit LV Girls Rock will feature a weekend long ‘LV Kids Rock’ camp, in which participants will get to learn to write an original song and explore the songwriting process.

Other featured activities at ArtsFest 2015 include: the Homebase skate area, who will be performing demos & shows all weekend as well as bringing out the Homebase truck; Lehigh Valley Apparel Creations will have a screenprinting press onsite to demonstrate the screenprinting process and create one of a kind shirts for festival goers; installations and yarnbombing by the Knitter’s Edge; a 3D printer exhibit by Filament Innovations, demonstrating a new cutting-edge 3D printer design, on display for the first time in public at ArtsFest!
