The artists of the Alternative Gallery are now offering art instruction for your school aged children! Join us on Saturday afternoons this winter from 2:00-3:30 at the Cigar Factory Artists Studios for fun and unique art classes.Schedule:
1/10/15 - No Face is the Same
We're all different, but our faces can be broken down to basic shapes
1/17/15 - Cardboard Sculpting
Expressive, not expensive. Create 3D works of art using the most common of household items
1/24/15 - OMG Sprites!
Create mosaics in plastic using "Sprites" beads
1/31/15 - Create a Comic
Use the same techniques the pros do to create your own comic!
2/7/14 - Graffiti Writing for Kids
Learn a quick history of Graffiti writing, and create your own colorful graffiti on paper
2/14/15 - Valentines From the Heart
Use a mix of materials to create an old fashioned valentine straight from the heart
2/21/15 - Dimensional Drawing
Learn how to create 3D "Birds Eye" view drawings in a fun and easy way
2/28/15 - No Brushes Allowed!
Create abstract art using straws, sticks, stamps, and anything EXCEPT a paint brush
3/7/15 - Let Creativity Run Wild
Creativity comes from deep within each one of us. It cannot be taught or observed. This day is dedicated to letting the imagination run wild to create freely
Fees:
Individual classes are $5, or sign up for the entire session for just $35! All materials will be provided.
All artwork will be retained until the conclusion of the winter session and displayed in our gallery at an opening held exclusively for our young artists, date and time tbd.
