YOHO Artists collective are pleased to announce the 13th Annual YOHO Artists Open Studio, this May 14 & 15, 2016: Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 5pm.This FREE event offers a rare opportunity to tour the creative studios of over 60 professional artists, artisans, musicians, creative new media specialists, and other creative manufacturers within the Carpet Mills Arts District.
All studios are conveniently concentrated with easy parking and elevator access. Live music, presentations, demonstrations, and other basic amenities will be available for visitors to enjoy as they explore this creative community. YOHO Artists is pleased to announce the inclusion of our 13th Annual Open Studio Weekend in a City of Yonkers, Mayor Mike Spano organized, city wide Yonkers Arts Weekend.
YOHO and the Carpet Mills Arts District will be one of 4 primes venues including Untermyer Gardens, Hudson River Museum, and several downtown Yonkersdestinations. Highlights in downtown Yonkers include workshops and live music at the waterfront and Van der Donck park, exhibiting at YonkersRiverfront Library Gallery, Urban Studios Gallery, Blue Door Gallery, several pop up style gallery exhibiting, and much more to be found on Yonkers Arts Weekly facebook page and official webpages to be linked here as they become available.
***SHUTTLES ***
With the generous support of the City of Yonkers, Mayor Mike Spano, a shuttle will be provided that moves between the Metro North Yonkers Station, YOHO, Untermyer Gardens, Hudson River Museum, back to the Yonkers Train Station where several downtown arts events and dining locations are accessible within a short walk.
Shuttle vans will run 11am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday. Departing from each venue on an approximately 30 minute interval. The last shuttle departs no later than 5pm. Hired car service is always available at a reasonable fare, if you choose to extend your stay, as there are things to do well into the evening. Details may be updated up until the day the event.
