Alison Collins lives and works in New York City. Her sculpture and installations have been exhibited nationally, most notably at the Contemporary Art Center in New Orleans, South Carolina State Museum, Bronx River Arts Center, Azarian-McCullough Art Gallery at St. Thomas Aquinas College, and Chashama.
Collins holds degrees from Tulane University and Louisiana State University. She has taught sculpture at Tulane University, Louisiana State University, College of Charleston, and Penland School of Crafts. Collins currently teaches Art History at Bronx Community College/CUNY.
