Description
In a time of adversity and devastation, a community will either crumble under the threat of ruin, or grow into something even stronger. In the case of the fi re that devastated 222 Lake Ave. in January, despite signifi cant smoke and water damage to 578 Nepperhan Ave., the YOHO artist community’s spirit never wavered. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, in just three short months, YOHO Artist Studios and CMAD have proven to be unbreakable – and even strengthened as an artist community – all just in time to launch the 14th annual YOHO Artist Open Studios. Th e studios are undergoing a brand enhancement and recently unveiled a new signand updated graphics in celebration of thismilestone. Artists and owners have persevered, growing their roots even deeper into the Yonkers community, broadcasting their identityand visibility more prominently than before. Th e YOHO 14th annual Open Studiosevent will feature 50 participating artists (whichis a part of the fourth annual Yonkers ArtsWeekend) and will run from noon to 5 p.m.May 6 and 7. For more in
